Frostox HT-12 is a new coolant concentrate (most commonly used in BMW and VW) based on monoethylene glycol and utilizing Si-OAT technology. It provides protection against corrosion, freezing, and overheating in high-performance engines. It is free from nitrites, amines, borates, and phosphates. FROSTOX® Low Conductivity 100 (LC100) is specifically formulated for use in batteries and battery systems, such as those found in electric vehicles. It must not be used as a coolant in conventional combustion engines. Conventional engine coolants have very high electrical conductivity, which can cause problems in battery applications. FROSTOX® LC100, thanks to selected inhibitors, has very low, long-term stable electrical conductivity. This ensures the safe operation of electrified powertrains.
